Liquidity / insurance

(EDSD = platform stable · EDM = fee/burn & governance · PoV / EMT / Locked–Unlocked EDSD as defined)

Core principle

Coverage and liquidity should follow facts, not forecasts. On EDMA, money sits as Locked EDSD and flips to Unlocked EDSD only when an EMT mints. Any liquidity or insurance we add must respect that sequence: no proof, no draw; no EMT, no funds. Payouts are rule-based, evidence-driven, and fast.

What this solves

Buyers want confidence they can keep bookings on schedule without tying up a full LC. Sellers want to book freight, inspection, and materials without carrying 60–90 days of cash. Both want protection against things that go wrong—late top-ups, temperature breaches, rollovers—without turning exceptions into weeks of email. EDMA binds liquidity and cover to milestones and proof, so money only moves on events everyone can see.

A) Liquidity

Top-Up Bridge

A tiny, time-boxed bridge that covers the next milestone between the Pre-Ship EMT and the buyer’s wire.

  • How it works: the moment Pre-Ship EMT mints, the bridge can post Locked EDSD for the upcoming slice; it auto-sweeps when the buyer’s top-up arrives.

  • Tenor & caps: hours to a few days; small per-order limits; visible on the order.

  • Why it matters: you keep load windows and trucking slots without relaxing must-fund before shipping.

Supplier Advance

A revolving line tied to your order’s Locked/Unlocked EDSD slices.

  • Draws open only after proof: Pre-Ship → modest LTV; On-Board → higher LTV; Arrival → near-final LTV.

  • Repayment: automatic sweeps from Unlocked EDSD at each release; off-platform cash-out remains blocked while any balance exists.

  • Use: fund freight, inspection, packaging, or upstream buys inside EDMA; off-platform spends allowed if covenants are met.

  • Target cost: 3–4% APR, day-count accrual; no prepay penalty.

Both products live on your milestone timeline; no new tool to learn, no manual collections. Draws and sweeps are visible on the same ledger that shows burns and receipts.

B) Insurance

We don’t insure promises. We cover named events that can be proven by the same documents and sensors that drive your EMTs. Premiums debit in EDSD at award; payouts credit as Unlocked EDSD and follow the waterfall you already use.

Top-Up Assurance

If a buyer misses the top-up after Pre-Ship EMT, EDMA pays the next slice from a bounded pool and recovers when the buyer funds.

  • Trigger: Pre-Ship EMT minted; top-up not received by the deadline.

  • Proof: the EMT, the missing wire, the MPA top-up SLA.

  • Payout: Locked EDSD for that slice posts; the milestone can proceed on time.

  • Limits & price: small caps per order/org; premium priced by tier (B0/B1/B2) and lane history.

Cold-Chain Temperature Cover

If temperature logs drift out of range beyond the contract tolerance, a fixed schedule pays for loss/discount.

  • Trigger: sensor stream shows out-of-range window beyond the MPA band.

  • Proof: attested temperature logs + lane metadata.

  • Payout: partial or full credit in Unlocked EDSD per the schedule; shows on the proof page.

Delay & Demurrage Cover

When carriers/terminals miss defined windows and demurrage/rollover fees hit, coverage reimburses the agreed table.

  • Trigger: timestamps exceed the SLA (cut-off to gate-in; gate-in to load; arrival to release).

  • Proof: port/terminal/carrier EDI + MPA timestamps.

  • Payout: fixed amounts per day or event; credits land as Unlocked EDSD.

Re-Inspection Cover

Covers the cost of a second PSI when a gate fails for minor, correctable reasons (labeling, carton recount).

  • Trigger: first PSI failed; second PSI scheduled within the SLA.

  • Payout: inspection fee credited as Unlocked EDSD on pass.

Availability varies by jurisdiction and partner. Cover is provided via authorized carriers/insurers or a captive structure; details are surfaced in the program docs.

How it all stays safe

  • Bound to proof. Every liquidity draw and every payout references an EMT or a parametric match. If the gate fails, nothing moves.

  • On-rail collateral. Funding sits as Locked EDSD; we never rely on off-platform collateral.

  • Narrow impact. A trigger pauses or pays only the affected slice; other lots and suppliers continue.

  • Transparent math. Premiums, limits, and payouts appear on the same ledger as fees, burns, and treasury interest.

  • No burn discount. Coverage never uses the burn half. 50% of each protocol fee still burns in EDM at release, posted with a hash.

What you configure at award

You toggle options on the award summary; the MPA and the order ledger reflect them immediately.

  • Top-Up Assurance: on/off; cap per milestone; premium in EDSD.

  • Temperature Cover: the band, the payout table, the premium.

  • Delay/Demurrage: which windows; daily/flat schedule; premium.

  • Re-Inspection: on/off; coverage limit; premium.

  • Liquidity: Supplier Advance and/or Top-Up Bridge eligibility, with their caps and rates.

A short “coverage card” lists triggers, proof sources, caps, and the service desk for re-inspection booking. Nothing else is needed at runtime—the rail reads the data it already uses for EMTs.

Governance knobs

EDM holders can adjust bounds, not foundations: maximum caps per lane, allowable parametric bands, premium corridors, pool sizes, lender eligibility, and which partner types can receive funded-on-proof assignments. They cannot vote away must-fund before shipping, Locked→Unlocked on proof, One-Claim, or the 50% burn.

What it looks like in your ledger

  • Premiums: debited in EDSD at award, line-item per coverage.

  • Liquidity draws & sweeps: timestamps, amounts, and balances; no manual entries.

  • Payouts: credited as Unlocked EDSD with the parametric match attached.

  • Burns: per-milestone EDM burn posted with hash; separate from all coverage lines.

  • Treasury interest: accrues on Locked EDSD while the program runs; daily totals and Proof-of-Reserves published.

Drawing

Plain recap

Liquidity and insurance on EDMA don’t bend the rail; they ride it. Funding arrives when Pre-Ship EMT proves production, top-ups precede shipping, and every unlock is tied to a milestone. When something slips, parametric cover pays from facts, not feelings. No proof, no draw. No EMT, no funds.
